What is a Preorder?

A presale (also called a preorder) is when you reserve a pin before it has been manufactured. Production usually takes 4–6 months after art proof approval. Updates are shared in presale group chats, via email, or on Instagram stories.

Can I Cancel a Preorder?

No. Preorders are made to order, so all preorder sales are final. Once you place an order, your spot is locked in and cannot be cancelled or refunded.

What are My Payment Options for Preorders?

You can either:

  1. Pay in full upfront — your pin ships once production is complete.
  2. Pay a 50% deposit (payment plan) — your deposit secures your spot, and the remaining balance must be paid before your pin ships.

Are Deposits Refundable?

No. Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

When is My Balance Due if I Pay a Deposit?

Balance due dates are shared in your presale group chat and on shop announcements. You’ll have ample time to pay.

What Happens if I Don’t Pay My Balance?

If your balance is not paid by the due date:

  • Your deposit is forfeited.
  • Your order is cancelled with no refund.
  • You may be banned from future presales.

What Happens if I Miss the Balance Due Listing?

Balance due listings are posted when it’s time to pay. It is your responsibility to pay by the deadline. Please keep an eye on group chats, emails, and shop announcements.

Can I Abuse the Payment Plan Option?

No. The payment plan is a privilege, not a right. Abuse — such as placing deposits without paying balances — will result in being blocked from future preorders.

What if There are Production Delays?

Manufacturing times vary. While I aim for 4–6 months, delays can happen. If there are delays, updates will be communicated immediately.

What if I Move While Waiting for My Presale Pin?

Please contact me right away with your updated address before shipping begins. I cannot be responsible for pins shipped to old addresses if I was not notified.

Do Preorder Pins Ship with In-Hand Pins?

No. Preorders and in-hand pins must be purchased separately. Please do not combine them in one order.

How Long Will a Preorder Take to Complete and Ship?

The completion and shipping of preorders can vary since our products are handmade. Factors like size, complexity, and potential production errors may cause delays. Generally, most pins are finished and shipped from the factory within 2-6 months, followed by 2-3 days for shipping from Mystical Fandom Pins to customers. Although it is uncommon, if a pin takes longer than 6 months, customers can request a refund and forfeit the preordered pin if they prefer.

What is Your Pin Grading Policy?

Please note all products are handmade, and no product is 100% perfect.

Presales: Orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. Standard grade pins are allocated to the earliest orders. If there are not enough standard grade pins, B grade pins will be used to complete the order. While there are usually only a few B grade pins, it’s important to be aware of this. I ensure that even B grade pins are of a quality I would proudly display on my own board. If you are not comfortable with this policy, please consider this before placing a presale order.

Grading:

Each pin is uniquely handmade, leading to some variations, especially with added effects. Most steps in the pin manufacturing process are done by hand, making a “flawless” pin nearly impossible. Here is how I grade each pin:

Standard Grade/A Grade: Free from major defects but may have minor imperfections visible only upon close inspection or under specific lighting. Flaws can include tiny stray glitter specs, minor metal imperfections, superficial scratches, small pin pricks, and minor paint drops or bleeds. These imperfections are minimal and typically not visible at arm’s length.

B Grade: May have more noticeable flaws such as air bubbles, pin pricks, stray paint/glitter specs, scratches, metal plating defects (excluding backs), low filled enamel, or random specs of dirt, dust, glitter, and fibers.

C Grade: These pins may have multiple flaws listed under B grades or more significant damage like punctures or face flaws such as minor misprints or imperfect enamel. Pins with major defects that affect the overall quality will not be sold. These flaws should not significantly detract from the pin’s appearance.

Note: Any pin with major defects that significantly impact its quality will not be sold. While imperfections may be present, please remember that each product is individually handmade. The backs of pins are not considered in grading.

What is Your Return and Refund Policy?

We are dedicated to the quality and uniqueness of our pins, and your satisfaction is our priority. Please read our policy carefully regarding returns, refunds, and pre-sale conditions.

Returns

  • Eligibility: Returns are only accepted for pins that are defective or damaged upon arrival. Pins must be returned within 7 days of receipt for this policy to apply.
  • Condition: Pins must be in their original, unused condition and include all original packaging.
  • Non-Returnable Items: All pre-sale items and pins purchased on sale are considered final sale and cannot be returned.

Refunds

  • Pre-Sale Items: Due to the nature of pre-sale purchases, where funds are used directly towards production costs, all pre-sales are final. We cannot offer refunds, cancellations, or exchanges once an order for a pre-sale pin has been placed.
  • Processing for In-Hand Items: Upon receipt of the returned pin, we will inspect it and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on the pin's condition.
  • Damaged or Incorrect Pins: If your pin is defective or incorrect due to our error, we will issue a full refund or provide a replacement at no additional cost to you, including covering all shipping costs for the return.

Exchanges

  • We only replace pins if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a pin for the same item, send us an email at mysticalfandompins@gmail.com and return your pin to the address below.
